The learner can complete the platform’s initial assessment before the full paid course is activated.

If the assessment indicates that further preparation would be beneficial, you can ask us to activate the full Functional Skills Level 2 course.

If the assessment indicates that you appear ready to sit the exam, you can choose not to activate the course and instead upgrade to the Exam Only option by paying the £60 difference.

Once the full paid course licence has been activated, this £60 switch-to-exam option is no longer available.
